Mead Sbagliato

A Negroni cocktail with sparkling wine instead of gin - a happy, delicious mistake

Ingredients

  • 1 measure of Hazy Summer Mead
  • 1 measure of Valentia Island Sweet Vermouth
  • 1 measure of prosecco or other sparkling wine

 

Method

  • Mix the mead and Vermouth in a glass full of ice
  • Top with Prosecco
  • Garnish with an orange twist

Sbagliato means “mistake” in Italian. The story is that a lucky bartender was making a Negroni cocktail and grabbed sparkling wine instead of gin, resulting in this happy, delicious mistake. We just replace the campari with Hazy Summer Mead.
