Directions
We are in the building behind Lidl. Google Maps or Waze will generally give you two options walking to the meadery from the centre of town, depending on your starting point. If you are walking, we recommend following the first option - Pearse Street/ main Cork Eastern road route.
Walking
Recommended route:
Exiting the Tourist office right, take a right and right again onto Pearse Street, walking up the main Cork road (Eastern Road R600) in the Cork direction with the water on your right.
Take 1st left up Featherbed Lane; in 100m, 1st right between some cottages and terraced houses; in 50m, turn left and walk up the steps/ramp. You are facing Lidl. We are in the building on the left of Lidl.
Walk around the railings (you can see a fingerpost sign on the corner of the building), and walk through the gates. Turn right up another small ramp, past the An Post Collection office. The Meadery is at the end.
Alternative route:
Google will send you this route if you are more on the north side of the town centre. The route will take you 50m up Barrack Hill which is quite steep, turn right along a short uphill path through the trees, out onto Featherbed Lane.
Walk 200m, passing Troopers Close on your (sharp) left but taking following left between some cottages and terraced houses.
In 50m, turn left and walk up the steps/ramp. You are facing Lidl. We are in the building on the left of Lidl.

Driving
Take the turn on Eastern Road (R600) up Barrack Lane at the Garage/Dempsey’s Hostel
Follow the road around through the small roundabout
Drive past Lidl (you can see a fingerpost sign on the corner of the building) We are in the building beside Lidl.
Drive through the gates ahead of you.
Turn right up another small ramp and past the An Post Collection office. The Meadery is at the end where you will find free parking.
