Honestly we at Kinsale Mead Co are thrilled to receive two Great Taste awards for our meads from Guild of Fine Food this week. More than 14,000 food and drink products from 109 countries were judged, so it’s a tough competition. Ireland claimed a total of 674 awards.
Hazy Summer Mead (2 star – Outstanding) ⭐ ⭐ the judges said was:
“…a proper grown up mead to be savoured and enjoyed. Beautifully balanced with the sharpness and honesty of real fruit flavours and the perfect acidity to create a truly delicious drink.”
Irish Wildflower Mead (1 star – Simply Delicious): ⭐
“An incredibly pale clear mead with a very intriguing savoury nose. Lychees and oriental fruit on the palate with a bit of a sake.”
