Mead my day

A lovely way to spend an hour. The whole process is fascinating and well explained. They kindly took us for the tour outside the normal times. The tasting was really good, beautiful flavours.

I guarantee you’ll want to bring a few bottles home.

The honey tasting was amazing, and the mead just as good. The facility is so crisp and clean and the staff were such lovely people. The tour was interesting and informative.

Excellent Tour to match an excellent product

We really enjoyed this interesting and fun tour of this gorgeous company. Our guide was really lovely and passionate about the product from start to finish.

The tasting section was excellent and we got to try 4 meads, all very different from each other.

The Bees Knees

Wonderful tour around the only meadery in Ireland. Kate, our guide gave a humorous and fascinating talk on the myths and legends of mead Ireland and its place in world history, all illustrated by the most marvellous artwork. Seeing the amount of work involved in producing just one bottle was awesome.
It is no wonder this is the number one tour attraction in Kinsale.

A Definite Stop

My Dad loves mead so this was a definite stop on our tour of Ireland. As the only mead makers, you could never go wrong. The owners were very nice and helpful in offering selections for purchase.

Fun Time!

We had such a fun time learning about Mead and the history of it! We enjoyed the honey and mead tastings and even bought several bottles to take with us! We would recommend this experience to anyone that enjoys history or mead (or learning what it is)!

Super Insightful

The mead making tour was super interesting and informative. We learned historical information about bees, mead and Ireland! Also, our perception about mead changed. During our tasting, we realized mead is light and not overly sweet. We look forward to pairing mead with meals!

Must Do!

This is a must do! It’s been a highlight of our trip so far – a history lesson with beautiful artwork, lovely people, and fantastic mead! I will be recommending to everyone I know.
