Conditions Of Use

By using our website and buying products from us you are agreeing to our Terms & Conditions as set out below. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Age Policy

Purchases can only be made by persons aged 18 or over. The recipient of the goods MUST also be a minimum of 18 years old. In completing this order you are confirming that both the person placing the order and the recipient of the goods ordered are aged 18 years or over.  Where any of our drivers are in doubt as to the age of the person receiving the goods, they reserve the right to request proof of age and / or retain the goods until they can be received by a person of, or above, the legal age to purchase alcohol.

Purchases

The prices for goods displayed for sale are as set out on the website and are inclusive of VAT and Duty at rates valid at the time of purchase. Where additional charges are made for delivery, they are clearly displayed.

By completing and submitting the electronic order form on the site you are making an offer to purchase goods which, if accepted by us, will result in a binding contract.

By making that offer to purchase goods, you are also authorising Kinsale Mead Co to pre validate the Debit or Credit card presented for payment for the full value of the goods and related service charges contained in your basket. Your card will not be charged until the offer to purchase has been accepted by Kinsale Mead Co.

We will confirm acceptance of your order by email. This confirmation will be sent to the email address you provide on your order details. Whether or not you receive an email, our acceptance of your order will create a legally binding contract between us. We reserve the right not to supply you at our discretion.

The contract between the parties is to be governed by and construed according to Irish law and the parties agree to submit any disputes to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

Availability

In the event of shortage of a particular item, we will contact you to discuss substituting with goods of similar quality.  All bottles are 70cl unless otherwise stated. We do not accept responsibility for typographical errors. Prices can change at any time without notice.

Kinsale Mead Co reserves the right to change the description, specification, and price of its products and services without notice. All orders for goods advertised on our website are subject to availability. Kinsale Mead Co reserves the right to refuse to supply to any individual or company for whatever reason.

Prices & Payment

Prices are displayed in Euro. We do not accept responsibility for typographical errors. Prices can change at any time without notice. Payment is accepted by Visa, MasterCard, Visa Debit, MasterCard Debit and Laser.

Minimum Orders

There are no minimum orders, but note that on larger orders, the delivery charge is a lesser proportion of the overall sale amount. Also that delivery of any order above €200 is free.

Ownership

All goods are the property of Kinsale Mead Co until all goods and all outstanding debts have been paid in full.

Force Majeure

Kinsale Mead Co shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond its reasonable control.

Delivery Info

Delivery

Delivery is charged at a rate of €5 per box (up to 30kg) for deliveries within the Greater Dublin area (as per our carrier’s definition of same). This includes all locations within the borders of County Dublin plus Bray.

Delivery is charged at a rate of €6 per box (up to 30kg) for deliveries outside the Greater Dublin area, including Northern Ireland.

Delivery orders above 30kg will attract an additional delivery charge for every additional 30kg.

If you wish to send multiple cases to different addresses then each address will be regarded as one delivery.

We offer a nationwide delivery, serviced through our 3rd party logistics provider. Accepted orders placed on a working day before 11am will be generally delivered within 2 working days. Orders placed after 11am will be treated as if received on the following working day. Occasionally, due to circumstances beyond our control, orders may take longer to fulfil.

At peak times, particularly Christmas, your order may take longer to arrive so we do ask you to place your orders as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Any time or date given for delivery is an estimate only. Although we will make every effort to ensure delivery times are met, we do not accept liability for failure to deliver within stated times.

Receiving Goods

Goods must be received by a person 18 years of age or older. Where any of our drivers are in doubt as to the age of the person receiving the goods, they reserve the right to request proof of age and / or retain the goods until they can be received by a person of, or above, the legal age to purchase alcohol.

If there is no one present at the address at the time arranged, our driver will try to establish contact with you by phone. Should he or she be unable to contact you; a calling card will be left and the goods returned to your nearest delivery depot. Please contact the number on the calling card to rearrange a suitable delivery time.

We may also remove the Site as a whole or any sections or features of the Site at any time. Please note that we have the ability to trace your IP address and if necessary contact your ISP in the event of a suspected breach of these Terms & Conditions.

Entire Agreement– These Terms & Conditions, including our Privacy Statement, constitutes the entire agreement between you and us in relation to its subject matter and supersedes any and all prior promises, representations, agreements, statements and understandings whatsoever between us. To the extent that software is available through the Site, such software may be subject to a license agreement that is distributed or included with such software and you agree to abide by the terms and conditions of any such license agreements. The failure by us to exercise or enforce any right or provision of the Terms & Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Legal purchase age

You must not provide us with your personal information if you are not of legal age to purchase alcohol in the jurisdiction in which you reside and (if different) in the jurisdiction in which you are accessing the site. We do not intend to collect personal information from any individuals under the legal purchase age or market alcoholic beverages to anyone under the legal purchase age. If we receive notice or believe that someone under the legal purchase age has provided us with personal information we will make every reasonable effort to remove such personal information from our files or flag such personal information and retain it for the sole purpose of ensuring that it is not used any further.
