40ml Wild Red Mead
20ml Creme de Cassis
100ml sparkling wine
Fill a tumbler with ice
add mead and Cassis.
Top with fizz and garnish with an orange twist.
You can use any sparkling wine such as Prosecco or Cava.
Creme de Cassis is used in a Kir royale so maybe we should rename this Mead Royale!
You can experiment by substituting Cassis (blackcurrant liqueur) with Grenadine (pomegranate liqueur used in Tequila Sunrise) or Chambord (black raspberry liqueur) Whatever fruity liqueur you have in your cupboard!
